The following donations were recommended by Kenilworth Lions’ Community Services Committee and agreed by Club members at the February club meeting:
- £2,000 was donated to Shakespeare Hospice to support their Hospice at Home service. This will directly benefit Kenilworth residents.
- £1,000 was donated to Burton Green Academy to help with the costs of providing swimming lessons for children at the school
- £200 was donated to the Kenilworth School of Embroidery. They are going to produce a tapestry, inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry, which will depict Kenilworth’s medieval history. The ‘Threads of Power and Faith’ tapestry is intended for public display.
- £100 was donated to help a girl guide attend a residential music course
- £300 was donated to purchase household equipment for a family in need of support
A total of £3,600 has been donated this month.
