Pride of Lions grants – April 2026

The following donations were recommended by Kenilworth Lions’ Community Services Committee and agreed by Club members at the April club meeting:

  • A pledge donation of £500 has been made to the Criminon organisation. This will be used to fund the provision of distance learning life skills courses for prisoners in two Warwickshire prisons
  • A grant of £960 has been awarded to the Mercia MS Therapy Centre. This will support the provision of foot health services to MS patients in Kenilworth and Coventry
  • A grant of £700 has been awarded to the Swimming Teachers Association. This will fund the provision of skills training for one swimming teacher in Warwickshire. There is currently a nationwide shortage of swimming teachers.
  • A grant of £300 has been awarded to a single Kenilworth mother to provide her with a cooker
  • A grant of £600 has been awarded to the New Futures Nepal charity. This will fund the purchase of one digital smartboard which will be used for classroom teaching in Nepal.
  • A grant of £400 has been awarded to a Kenilworth mother to assist with the purchase of a specialist pushchair for her son who has spinal muscular atrophy
  • Kenilworth Lions Club volunteers drove an ambulance loaded with medical supplies and children’s gifts to Ukraine in March for the Belveder organisation. Club members agreed to fund expenses associated with this effort – £565

A total of £4025 has been donated this month.

A Furniture Store voucher to the value of £145 was issued against an application received from the Refuge organisation.
