The following donations were recommended by Kenilworth Lions’ Community Service Committee and agreed unanimously by Club members at the August club meeting:
- A grant of £800 has been awarded to Leek Wootton U10 football club. The club will use this to fund equipment purchase and to subsidise players who, otherwise, may not be able to participate
- A grant of £400 has been awarded to Menopause Knowledge CIC. This grant will enable the production of educational content which will be distributed at their World Menopause Day event at the Crown Plaza in Stratford (18-October-2026)
- A pledge award of £5000 has been made to Waverley Day Centre. This is to help them purchase a new minibus.
- A grant of £300 has been approved to purchase a cooker for a Kenilworth single mother living in difficult circumstances
A total of £6,500 has been donated or pledged in direct grants this month. In addition, Furniture Store vouchers to the value of £125 were issued to an applicant sponsored by Chase Meadow Community Centre.
