In place of our traditional Carol Concert usually held in Abbey Fields, Kenilworth, this year we are planning to hold a ‘virtual event’ by organising a YouTube video to be premiered at the same date/time of the live event – Saturday 19th December at 6.00pm. The event will be free to air, although we shall be seeking voluntary donations via our website.
The virtual concert will follow as closely as possible the format of the usual live event with carols and bible readings, which will include our Mayor Richard Dickson and our local MP Jeremy Wright MP. We will have a virtual choir of singers from several local choirs and choral groups, the Salvation Army Band, and contributions from local school children.
Our prime aim is to provide a memorable Christmas event for Kenilworth residents in what has been otherwise a very bleak year, as part of our ethos of providing a service to the community.
If you are able to make a donation to Kenilworth Lions to help defray the costs of producing the video, please use the Donate button below.
A DVD of the concert will be available to buy after the online performance. Details will be emailed to you after you register.
