The Worthies Awards 2019

Kenilworth Lions were delighted to sponsor two of the top awards at The Worthies event hosted by the Kenilworth Chamber of Trade at the Chesford Grange Hotel this week.

The awards were for “Charity/Fundraising Organisation of the Year”, which was won by Kenilworth Foodbank, and “The Worthies Award” won by Jan Burnell, recognising an unsung hero who goes above and beyond to support the town.

Lion president Gordon Henderson also acted as one of the three judges for the event, with the onerous task of choosing the winners in each award category from the many excellent finalists.

Kenilworth Lions were proud to have won a Worthies Award in 2017, so in 2019, when we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the club, it seemed fitting and appropriate to sponsor others in this way.
