Christmas Greetings from Kenilworth Lions

John Whitehouse Uncategorized

Kenilworth Lions would like to wish all of our friends and supporters a safe and happy Christmas, as far as circumstances allow, and let’s all hope fervently that 2021 brings something better for all of us.

Our annual Carol Concert, which went online on You Tube this year because of the Covid-19 restrictions on large outdoor gatherings, was a great success!

The premiere showing at 6.00pm on Saturday 19th December attracted a live audience of many hundreds of people, despite being in direct competition with the Strictly Come Dancing live final on BBC1. Since then many more people have watched the concert, with the latest figure of viewings standing at over 1,200.

The Concert can be viewed at any time by searching for klcitc on You Tube, or by following this link: https://youtu.be/JJiSBSXhWQg. As tomorrow is Christmas Eve, what better time to watch it again and sing along to the words on the screen, or which can be downloaded from our website at: kenilworthlionsclub.co.uk/carols.

If you have enjoyed watching the Concert, would you consider making a donation to Kenilworth Lions, which is a registered charity dedicated to supporting the local community and which provides cash grants to many local charities and community groups every year? You can do so by following this link: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/14006

A DVD of the Concert is being produced, which can be purchased for £2 (+ fees) if you are able to collect from our Furniture Store during January, or for £3 (+ fees) if you would like it delivered to your home address. To order your copy, follow this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/132708289065

Don’t forget that our Furniture Store will be closed for the next two Saturdays (26th Dec and 2nd Jan), and will re-open on the 9th Jan subject to local Covid-19 regulations at that time. Also, our much-loved Charity Duck Race is not going ahead on Boxing Day this year, but we are hoping and planning that we can run it on Easter Monday 2021.

Once again, a safe and happy Christmas to everyone.
